Vote early

Kansas offers voters several ways to vote before Election Day. You can still request to vote by mail until Oct. 27, but at this point, it may be best to vote early in person at one of the 10 advance voting locations in Johnson County or three advance voting locations in Wyandotte County. By voting early, reduce your exposure to crowds on Election Day and avoid long lines. Plus, you'll be taken off campaign call lists!

Haven't received your advance ballot?

Check the status of your ballot here. Enter your name and birth date on the first screen. On the next screen, enter your name and birth date again under Advance Ballot.
If you requested an advance ballot and decide to vote in person instead, you will have to cast a provisional ballot, which won't be counted until AFTER Election Day. So, it's best to vote by your advance ballot. You can always return it to a polling location or drop box if you don't want to mail it.
You can call your election office if you have questions: Johnson County, 715-6800; Wyandotte County, 573-8500.

How to return your advance ballot

If you are one of the 150,000+ people in Johnson and Wyandotte counties who opted to vote by mail, return it as soon as possible. Here's how:
☑️By mail (postage is required and your ballot must be postmarked by Election Day)
☑️By delivering it to an advance voting location (see above for those locations and times)
☑️By taking it to any polling location in your county on Election Day (You don't have to wait in line. Go to the entrance and tell the poll worker you have a completed ballot to return.)
☑️By dropping it in an official ballot drop box (For locations in Johnson County, click here. Wyandotte County has two drop boxes at the Election Office at 850 State Ave. in Kansas City, Kan.)
