From: LWV of Johnson County

JoCo League logo

Hi ~~first_name~~:

Johnson County election results are in! Also, don't forget to take action on the census, participate in a Community Review Session on a regional climate action plan, and save the dates for our holiday celebration and next year's planning session.

Official election results

The Johnson County Election Office certified the final result of the election on November 12. 350,750 Johnson County voters cast their votes. This equates to a 77.48% voter turnout, close to the 2008 record of 78%. Visit the election office website for full election results.

Thank you to all the election officials, poll workers and volunteers who helped throughout the election, including:
🙏🏼 Johnson County Election Commissioner Connie Schmidt and her team
🙏🏼 Postal workers who delivered thousands of advance ballot applications and completed ballots
🙏🏼 Volunteers, including 60+ LWVJoCo members who logged more than 500 hours this election season

Take Action: The census is NOT Over

The census continues with the final processing of the data and the determination of the apportionment across the states. Congress must pass legislation to extend the timeline to process data by at least 120 days as the administration requested. Shortening the timeline to collect data and rush operations during a national pandemic is an intentional plot to sabotage the census and skew Congressional representation, redistricting, and critical funding allotments for every state in the country. Tell Congress to protect the Census in the next version of the stimulus bill.
