Hispanic Heritage Month starts this week
Hispanic Heritage Month, a celebration of the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America, runs September 15 through October 15.
Celebrate this weekend at the Fiesta Hispana, sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Heritage Committee. This event runs Friday through Sunday on the Barney Allis Plaza at 12th and Central in downtown Kansas City.

On September 24 from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m., attend the Latino Arts Festival 2022 at the Nerman Museum on the JCCC campus. Community creators will be sharing their art, music, food, and passion.
In October, visit the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center for another celebration. They are hosting a free celebration on Wednesday, October 12, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
