About 9:45 a.m., the Annual Business Meeting will begin. Members will vote on the proposed budget and the board/officer nominations. Awards will be presented to exceptional members for their service. For details on the agenda and votable items, watch for the digital Annual Report. It will be sent to members in mid-February.

Featuring former Johnson County Commissioner Connie Schmidt

Despite the cracks in our democracy the pandemic exposed, voters turned out in record numbers in 2020 to make their voices heard. Safe, accessible and fair elections proved again to be the bedrock of our democracy. For our annual meeting, former Johnson County Election Commissioner Connie Schmidt—a true voting rights champion—will share her insights about how we continue to safeguard our electoral system and protect voters.
