The LWVJoCo’s Annual Meeting was a great success. Officers who will comprise the next Board of Directors were elected, the budget for 2025-2026 was approved, changes to the by-laws and standing rules were approved, and the modernization of all our fundamental Position Statements was also adopted.

We welcome the new 2025-2026 Board:
President - Harry Bognich
Co-Vice President - Connie Hernandez
Co-Vice President - Linda Trout
Secretary - Alleen VanBebber
Treasurer - Mary Lou Jaramillo
Voter Information Chair - Marie Hernandez
Voter Registration Co-Chair - Melea Siebert
Voter Registration Co-Chair - Jane McDowell
Membership Chair - Colette Panchot
Communications Chair - vacant

Following the business part of the Annual Meeting, the small group discussions to develop strategies to move the LWVJoCo forward in realizing the goals outlined in the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan were very successful. Members said that these small group discussions allowed them to meet and talk with each other and strategize plans of action. Members felt that small group discussions were very worthwhile; the Board of Directors will plan for more of these in the future.

The Board of Directors looks forward to seeing you at the April 5 Member Meeting and hearing from you about what we need to be doing right now. Your voice and involvement are vital in the continued success of the LWVJoCo! As a reminder, the Board of Director Meetings are open for members to attend via Zoom and are listed in the Event Calendar on our local league website.

Warmly,

Ruth, Mary, and Harry
