KS Supreme Court Rulings

The KS Supreme Court unanimously upheld the validity of the State Legislative (House and Senate) maps, completing its statutory requirements to review the validity of the maps 30 days following the petition filed by Attorney General Derek Schmidt.

Every 10 years, the Kansas Legislature is responsible for drawing boundaries for the:

four Congressional districts
state legislative districts
125 Kansas House districts
40 Kansas Senate districts
10 State Board of Education districts composed of 4 contiguous Kansas Senate districts
