League members were among the dozens of KCK Souls to the Polls volunteers cruising for voters on Saturday, July 11. About 60 cars sporting pro-voting messages honked their way through three traditionally low-turnout neighborhoods (representing 3,500 voters) to put voting in the spotlight.
Check out Channel 41's coverage.
The event was organized by KCK Souls to the Polls, a get-out-the-vote initiative of Wyandotte faith and community organizations, including LWV.
Thank you to LWVJoCo member Ann Sanders for all of her work organizing the event, the 100 people who attended to make this such as success, KCK police department for the wonderful escort, and KCK Community College staff and campus security for all of their help.
Remember to encourage your family and friends to register to vote at ksvotes.org and then to VOTE!
