Gather around a campfire along the banks of the Wyandotte County Lake and listen to Native American Choctaw storyteller and author, Ralph “Little Eagle” Williston, engage listeners of all ages with tales of bravery, kindness, patience, and more. Williston’s stories draw listeners in with action and audience participation. He will also have his 12 children’s books available to purchase. Children will get to create and take home a bracelet with leather and beads. Attendees can register to win a collection of children’s/young adult books by Native American authors.  Meet behind the Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle library (4051 West Drive, KC, KS 66109) at Wyandotte County Lake Park. You may want to bring a cozy warm blanket to cover your lap as you sit on our wooden benches or to sit upon in the grass. It will be a special afternoon celebrating Native American culture!
